Stake to Play (S2P)
To grow points in-game and enjoy various perks, players have the possibility to stake $FPs in the "Upgrade" section.
$FP used for upgrades is fully refunded via a Stake to Play model. All $FP a player chooses to stake is added to a contract that slowly returns it all back (per block) over 30 days. Nothing more, nothing less.
For example, if a player stakes 30 $FP to upgrade their pet, they'll receive their own $FP back at a rate of 1 $FP a day until they reach 30 days and are fully refunded. Accumulated $FP can be withdrawn at any time.
Staking never gives a player extra $FP.
With this mechanism players know they can keep playing and upgrading for as long as they chose to be part of the game. With a stake of 110 $FP, players unlock totally free feedings for that pet; as they will be able to re-stake 10 returned $FP every 3 days in an endless cycle.
110 $FP can be staked all at once, or gradually until the full amount is reached. Staking over 110 $FP is possible and is a way to regularly add extra points on your pet. Staking under 110 $FP is still beneficial to allow a pet to get paid player perks and replace some shroom feedings.
